Michel-Schlumberger
Estate-grown wines from the heart of Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County. Over 400 years of winemaking heritage rooted in 61 acres of prime benchland.
A Legacy in
Every Vine.
Michel-Schlumberger's first vines were planted in 1979 by Jean-Jacques Michel, a native of Switzerland who traveled extensively across Northern California in search of the perfect location. He recognized the exceptional potential of Dry Creek Valley's climate and soils for premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Pinot Blanc.
In 1991, Jacques Pierre Schlumberger joined the team, bringing over 400 years of winemaking heritage from Alsace, France. The Michel-Schlumberger brand was born — and with it, a winery that would earn global attention and acclaim.
The mission-style architecture reflects European roots while honoring the influence of early Spanish settlers in California. White stucco walls, a terracotta-tiled roof, a bell tower, and a grand courtyard create a spectacular setting in Sonoma wine country.

The vineyards stretch across rolling hills with Wine Creek flowing along the front of the estate. The distinct combination of benchland and hillside terroir, along with specially selected clones, produces wines that are elegant in style yet confidently Californian.
Committed to the Land.
From the very beginning, preserving the land and environment has been central to the estate's mission — leading the way in Wine Country sustainability.
In 2016, a 215-kilowatt solar energy system was installed — the largest in Dry Creek Valley. The 672 ground-mounted panels generate all electrical needs, with excess sold back to the grid.
